Merlot Matei Grande Reserve 2007

Appearance: clear, ruby-red color, bright, purple-reddish reflexes. 

Nose: Forrest fruit (blackberries, red currant, wild strawberries), complex aromas of black pepper, chocolate, coffee and vanilla. 

Palate: dry, intense, full-bodied, well-balanced texture of sweet tannins, delicate astringency, prolonged after-taste.

The optimum serving temperature is of 18 ºC. One may serve it with red meat dishes, noble venison with complex sauces, traditional Romanian meat-based dishes, matured cheeses.

The wine may be aged in bottles (10-15 years) in cellar conditions, thus acquiring a velvety texture and a complex bouquet.
